Katie George is a well-known sportscaster in the US, super popular for her amazing work on networks like ESPN, WDRB, and Fox Sports Wisconsin. But here’s a fun fact—before the mics and cameras, she was smashing it on the volleyball court. Yep, she was an athlete first!
Now, though, her career isn’t the only thing people are talking about. Fans are buzzing about her personal life. Everyone wants to know—who is Katie George’s husband? Is she married, or is it just another rumor making rounds online? The curiosity is real, and her dating life has become quite the hot topic!
Who Is Katie George’s Husband?
Katie George is married to Paolo DelPiccolo in 2020, a professional soccer player she met during her university days.

How They Met
Katie and Paolo’s love story started at a college party when they were both student-athletes. “We still argue about who was more into who!” Katie laughs. Their connection was instant, but soon Paolo had to leave for Germany to begin his professional soccer career. Despite the distance, they decided to make it work and maintained a long-distance relationship for four years. It wasn’t easy, but their bond only grew stronger.
The Romantic Proposal
After years of being apart, they finally found themselves back in the same city. It didn’t take Paolo long to realize he wanted forever with Katie. During a ski trip to Breckenridge, surrounded by snowy peaks and magical views, he proposed. Of course, Katie said yes, making it a moment they would cherish forever.
The Dream Destination Wedding

Katie and Paolo chose Beaver Creek, Colorado, for their wedding—a picturesque winter wonderland. “We love Beaver Creek,” Katie shares. Instead of staying in Louisville, Kentucky, where Katie’s family is from, they opted for a unique location their guests would remember forever. Only a few of their friends and family had visited Beaver Creek before, so it became a new adventure for over 200 guests.
The wedding was a mix of tradition and personal touches. Katie, a Roman Catholic, had a traditional ceremony at a beautiful chapel nearby. Her gown, a halter-neck dress by Oscar de la Renta, was timeless and elegant. She walked down the aisle with her father as a string quartet performed Andrea Bocelli’s “Con Te Partirò,” a nod to Paolo’s Italian heritage.
The ceremony was made even more special as it was officiated by a family friend, Archbishop Charles T. Thompson, who had a personal connection with the couple.
Personalized Invitations
Even the invitations reflected Katie and Paolo’s personalities. The elegant suite featured watercolor elements and vintage stamps with special meanings: a soccer player, a skier, and the state flower of Colorado. Katie admits she never expected to love the stationery part of planning so much, but it turned out to be one of her favorite details.
A Reception to Remember
The reception was a cozy, wintry celebration at a nearby luxury hotel. The décor highlighted warm tones with vintage-inspired floral arrangements in shades of pink, cream, sherbet, and red. The wood-paneled ballroom glowed with open-flame candles, creating a magical atmosphere.
One of the standout design elements was a 10-foot circular floral arrangement suspended above the black-and-white checkered dance floor. It was a jaw-dropping centerpiece that Katie loved.
After their grand entrance, the couple shared their first dance to Barry White’s “You’re the First, the Last, My Everything,” followed by pre-dinner dancing. Guests then enjoyed a carefully curated Italian-inspired menu with seasonal flavors.
Cultural Celebrations and Dancing
The reception wasn’t just about Katie and Paolo—it celebrated their families and cultural roots. They included Lebanese dances for Katie’s family and Italian traditions for Paolo’s. The energy on the dance floor was unmatched, and they were thrilled to host a party that everyone enjoyed.
An Unforgettable Week
For Katie and Paolo, the wedding wasn’t just about one day. It turned into an experience for everyone. Guests turned the destination wedding into a vacation, enjoying ski slopes and bonding throughout the week. “It was so fun seeing our friends and family out on the slopes,” Katie says.
The couple was overjoyed with how everything came together. “We felt so loved,” Katie reflects. The wedding wasn’t just about celebrating their love; it was about creating lifelong memories with the people who mattered most.

How’s her love life going?
She’s loving her married life, it seems. You can tell by how often she posts pictures with her husband.
Not long ago, she shared a sweet photo from their wedding. The caption? “Here’s to two years and counting! Happy anniversary, my love!” So cute, right?
And just recently, there was a video. In it, he’s kissing her on her cheek, and the caption read, “Palma De Mallorca, Spain.” Clearly, they’re living their best life together!
My POV on Katie and Paolo’s Relationship
Okay, so Katie and Paolo’s story is honestly kinda cool. They didn’t just fall for each other, they really made it work even when they were miles apart. I mean, long-distance isn’t easy, right? Especially with Paolo traveling all over for soccer. But they didn’t give up, and that shows how solid their relationship really is. It’s inspiring to see how they kept going, no matter the distance. It’s like, no matter how far you are, if the connection’s strong enough, nothing can get in the way.
